Screen time can affect kids, but the data is hard to measure. Here's why.

When scientists study the effects of screen time on children, there's really only one thing parents want to know: How much is too much? 

While the Academic Pediatric Association guidelines suggest daily limits for high-quality screen-based programming, those recommendations are based on studies with significant limitations. In general, studies on the subject quickly become outdated or can't prove a causal connection between a certain amount of screen time and any number of outcomes, including mental health and brain development.

Studying the effects of screen time on children is much harder than you might imagine because scientists often can't get the best data to understand the dynamics at play. That's why new research often feels promising to parents who are looking for reassurance. Samsung's new flagship, the Galaxy S10, will likely come in at least three flavors and it will certainly be a very powerful device. We know that much from previous leaks and rumors.

But with Samsung's mobile phone sales slowing down, will the company make the upcoming flagships cheaper?

Make downloads easier with this management tool that's on sale

It's crazy to think that not too long ago, we all had to settle for downloading music and movies through LimeWire, and then storing the files on measly 500 MB USB sticks or CDs. And then of course wondering if we would go to jail for it. 

The process of downloading isn't a cakewalk, either. We'd idly wait an unholy amount of time for that one Britney Spears song, and god forbid the phone rings and you have to start it all over again.

It was all painful, until it wasn't. Today, we can download virtually anything just like that, but that doesn't mean we don't have an entirely new set of 2019 problems.
