Amazon.com will, obviously, be a prime destination for holiday shopping, with most people buying stuff not made by Amazon.
The e-retail giant would like to change that a bit, which is why it's priming the pump by pre-announcing a collection of pretty sweet Black Friday deals for a chunk of its branded hardware devices.
The biggest deal, by far, will be for Amazon's voice-assistant-hosting Echo device. The home of Alexa will be $40 off, listing for $139.99.
If the tallish tower with music-ready speakers is overkill, Amazon is also slashing the Echo Dot, which can listen and respond, but is not for playing media. It will list for $39.99, a $10 price cut. Read more...
