When it comes to Black Friday, there is one undisputed king of the jungle (or should that be rainforest?). Over the last Black Friday period, Amazon took a 26 percent share of the total retail industry in the UK. That means over a quarter of the UK’s Black Friday shopping in 2018 was done on the giant online marketplace.
Amazon’s share was actually up 3 percent on the previous year, showing that their Black Friday sales are still growing. We don’t know if this trend will continue, but we are sure that Black Friday is a massive event for Amazon and that the company will be celebrating it in an equally massive way.
