Google has a 'new' way to create calendar events

This time last year Google added a useful shortcut for regular users of the G Suite apps allowing very quick creation of new documents.

Using the .new domain, Google added functionality to quickly create new Google documents, spreadsheets, slides, sites, or forms simply by typing doc.new, sheet.new, slide.new, site.new, or form.new directly into the browser address bar. As Engadget reports, that functionality has now expanded to Google Calendar.

As the tweet by Google below reveals, it's now possible to type cal.new or meeting.new into the browser address bar and have a new Calendar event load in a tab. Using it saves the few mouse clicks previously required to open Calendar and add a new event. Read more...
