The Justice Department has released details of a case that sounds like it could be the plot of one of the creepy techno-dystopian Law and Order: Special Victims Unit episodes.
A former Yahoo employee, Reyes Daniel Ruiz, has pleaded guilty to using his employee access to hack into the emails of "friends" and colleagues, in order to find intimate photos and videos.

Charged with one count of Computer Intrusion and one count of Interception of a Wire Communication, Ruiz pleaded guilty to Computer Intrusion under the terms of a plea deal. He could face up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine, plus restitution to the victims. Read more...
