Apple Watch owners have been forced to use Apple Maps for years — until now.
Google Maps, last available on Apple Watch in 2017, is rolling out to watchOS users globally over the next few weeks.
Now you can get turn-by-turn directions from your Google Maps locations, like "home" or "work" (likely the same place these days).
For places you haven't saved, like a bakery or hardware store, you can set up directions on your phone's Google Maps app and your watch will sync up for the rest of the trip. The step-by-step directions on your wrist also work in walking, biking, and public transit mode. Read more...
