Magnetic USB-C adapter actually does everything you need

Since Apple killed off MagSafe charging entirely in favor of USB-C ports in the new MacBook Pro, easy, magnetic power cord connection has sadly gone the way of the headphone jack (RIP). If you want to experience that satisfying click every time you charge up — and have a safeguard against damaging your cords or ports with an unexpected tug — you'll have to hold on to your old Apple laptops or jump ship to the Microsoft Surface line. 

There are some magnetic adapters on the market that mimic MagSafe's function, but they're only good for charging, killing the data and video capacities of the USB-C in favor of the quick connection.  Read more...
