The White House wants unmitigated power to capture your drones.
The Trump administration is asking members of Congress to consider legislation that would allow officials to do whatever the f*ck they want to any drone they deem a threat to a "covered facility," according to a document published by The New York Times.
That means they can obliterate the drones out of the sky, capture them, take them apart, hack them, whatever.
The proposed legislation mentions protecting privacy and civil liberties several times, but also says "covered persons" can't be subject to any type of legal action that results in a captured, tracked, or destroyed drone. Read more...
