Amazon's Alexa now has more than 15,000 skills

Alexa continues to get smarter and more capable every day. 

According to a report on Voicebot and later confirmed by Amazon, Alexa crossed the 15,000 skills milestone on Friday. The achievement marks an impressively fast level of growth — the company crossed 10,000 skills just back in February.

In comparison, Google's Home Assistant has just 378 voice apps as of this writing, according to VoiceBot. (Though, to be fair, developers could only make third party Google actions for Assistant starting in January 2017.) Read more...
