This device looks like a WiFi router, but it actually helps doctors monitor coronavirus patients remotely

Emerald, a wireless device that infers people's vital signs by wireless analyzing their surrounding environment, can help doctors treat COVID-19 patients from a safe distance. 

Developed by MIT professor Dina Katabi and her team at CSAIL, the device already in use in several hospital and assistive-care facilities in the Boston area. Read more...
