'Great desktops' lie ahead in Apple's roadmap, Tim Cook promises

Is Apple still committed to desktop computers? Some examples, like the Mac Pro, which hasn't been updated in three years, make it hard to argue that it is. 

Now, in an internal forum post to Apple employees, dug out by TechCrunch, Apple CEO Tim Cook addresses the issue, claiming Apple is still very much interested in the desktop, and that it plans to launch new desktop products in the future. 

"Some folks in the media have raised the question about whether we’re committed to desktops. If there’s any doubt about that with our teams, let me be very clear: we have great desktops in our roadmap. Nobody should worry about that," he wrote.  Read more...
