The Secret Service wants to use a drone to protect Trump

The president plans to spend a couple weeks at his New Jersey golf course this August, and the Secret Service plans to monitor the place with a drone. 

The drone (singular) would be tethered, and would buzz 300-400 feet above the ground, conducting video surveillance, according to Reuters.

This will be something of a test for the Secret Service, which is reportedly trying to improve its aerial surveillance. 

The agency said the drone could wind up inadvertently spying on people and properties around Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, but that any video or photos will be deleted in 30 days unless those images wind up part of a criminal investigation.  Read more...
