The screen on at least one version of Apple's upcoming iPhone will be curved in some way — if you believe a new report that claims Apple has ordered 70 million OLED screens from Samsung.
Nikkei Asian Review, who published the report Tuesday citing sources close to Apple's supply chain, has no other details about the order, but says the screens will be used in a phone.
Apple is rumored to be launching three new iPhones this fall: Two with a regular, LCD screen, and a "premium" variant that will have a curved OLED screen. Judging by the size of this order, Apple expects this version — which is also rumored to be pricier than usual — to sell well. Read more...
