Ian Stell, a New-York based designer, is creating incredible pieces of functional furniture that are able to transform their shapes. Although most of his pieces require precise engineering in order to become kinetic, Stell himself is not an engineer, but he rather studied Fine Arts, holding a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design.
