Apple gears up to manufacture iPhones in India

Apple, which sees India as a great place to be, could begin manufacturing its iPhones in the country in the next three to four months.

The government of the Indian state of Karnataka has welcomed a proposal from Apple to begin initial manufacturing operations in the state, it said. 

"Apple's intentions to manufacture in Bengaluru will foster cutting edge technology ecosystem and supply chain development in the state, which are critical for India to compete globally," the Karnataka government said.  Read more...
