Valve's legendary, mind-bending puzzler Portal lets you punch holes in solid surfaces, creating physics-defying tunnels through which you can send objects (and yourself).
As fun as the original game was, one couldn't help but wonder how cool it would be if you could create portals in the real world. Well, now you can (sort of).
Game developer Kenny Wang created an augmented reality version of Portal on Microsoft's HoloLens, which lets you blast virtual portals in actual, real world surfaces and fling a virtual object (a Companion Cube, as seen in the original game) through them. Read more...
